El Origen

The first book of photographer Marco Ferraris in the series "La Isla": a video, photography, poetry and performing art project started in 2010.

The work is based on meditations and convictions linked to the search for a primordial contact with nature, with the feminine universe and with the mystery of the birth of the living being on the bare earth.

The cover of the book is thermostatic and the colors of the monochrome pages are born from the associated photos.

The poems of Giancarlo Ferraris are inspired by the same images, emphasizing the shadows and the lights.

The drawing and the graphic edition was directed by Daniel Naveira and accompanied by an original illustration by Paola Alfamor.

The verses written in Italian orignally, are translated in English and Spanish respectively by Stefano Lazzaro and Claudio Marrucci.
